Proprietary, cloud-based technology is baked into the ArtPrize model and makes it possible, powering the public vote and the artist-venue connections process, as well as influencing the way that artists make and share their work. Pivotal to our success are innovative features and functionality that are constantly improving.

In 2015, ArtPrize worked to refine both the ArtPrize mobile app and website, ushering in a sleeker, leaner design in partnership with Mighty in the Midwest, and surfacing the most sought-after content, features and funtionality on both platforms.

Over 56,000 visitors downloaded the ArtPrize 2015 mobile app, developed for both iOS and Android users in partnership with Atomic Object. 422,763 votes were cast for contemporary art during the 19-day event, and the mobile app proved to be the public's preferred way to vote for their favorite entries.

The mobile app brought back several favorite audience features, including a Discover view offering continually updated ArtPrize blog and event information, updated venue and entry profiles, and the ability to search for venues near a specific location.
