VISITOR ENGAGEMENT & SERVICES
ACCESS ART RESOURCES
While all ArtPrize Pathways provide the least amount of barriers to our visitors, those with accessibility needs could pick up our Access Art Experience Guide and embark on a route that was specially curated with visitors’ mobility in mind. ArtPrize offered additional details in our Accessibility Guide, available during the event as well as online.
20,000 Spanish-language Event Guides were printed and distributed by ArtPrize media partner, El Informador and bilingual educational resources as well as wayfinding signage helped families explore the event. This year, ASL interpretation was provided at ArtPrize official events.
FREE WHEELCHAIR LOAN PROGRAM
Courtesy of Mary Free Bed and Airway Oxygen Inc., ArtPrize offered wheelchair loans at the ArtPrize HUB/HQ and DeVos Place Convention Center during the 19-day event. The wheelchairs will be available to loan for a few hours or the entire day, free of charge.
RAPID RIDES TO ARTPRIZE
The ArtPrize Rapid Rides to ArtPrize program offered free Event Guides and Metro Passes - good for free transportation on The Rapid, DASH and Silver Line transit systems during the 19 days of ArtPrize - for community members who would specifically benefit from this free resource due to income insecurity or language barriers. ArtPrize offered this resource to 10,000 individuals - working closely with Grand Rapids Public Schools, Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative, Head Start for Kent County and many community organizations around Grand Rapids.
