ARTPRIZE GRANTS FOR VENUES

FELLOWSHIP FOR EMERGING CURATORS
New for 2015, the Fellowship for Emerging Curators offered $40,000 as a unique opportunity for emerging curators to gain valuable experience by working alongside a curator at an established ArtPrize institutional venue. The four selected Fellows worked under the mentorship of each institution's curator to produce their own show.

CITY PARKS CURATORS
Each year, ArtPrize partners with the City of Grand Rapids and Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. in selecting several curators to work with the city to place artwork in city sites during ArtPrize. City Park sites included: Ah-Nab-Awen Park, Blue Bridge, Fish Ladder Park, Sixth Street Bridge, US-131 Retaining Wall, Oakes Street Park, Gillett Bridge, and Calder Plaza. The four inaugural Fellows included: Hunter Bridwell, working with Ron Platt of the Grand Rapids Art Museum; Elizabeth Hertl, working with Michele Bosak of Kendall College of Art and Design; Ethan Ross, working with Heather Duffy of the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art; and Amy Wilson, working with Paul Amenta of SiTE:LAB.

VENUE GRANTS
Also new for 2015, all ArtPrize Venues were encouraged to apply for this fund of $40,000, intended to provide assistance in realizing ambitious exhibitions, to implement voter registration and to enhance the overall ArtPrize visitor experience. Recipients were determined by the ArtPrize Art Advisory Council.
